Imagine this scene. You are playing in the basement with a friend and one of your siblings. Suddenly an argument breaks out over what you should do next. Suddenly someone is crying. Your mom comes and asks what happened. There are 4 points of view to this scene. Yours, your sister’s or brother’s, your friend, and your mother’s way of explaining what happened according to what they know. The same is true with books. Authors tell stories from one or more points of view. This point of view effects the story in many ways!

Think about the story you are reading. Who is telling the story? This is the point of view of the story? How would this story change if a different character told the story? What if you told the story to someone else? How would that change the story?

i am reading warriors right now,one of the warriors is telling the story.it would change by what they are feeling.i don't think i could tell the story to anyone(its to long),and it wouldn't change the story much.

I am reading Everthing on a Waffle and the story is told by Primrose Squarp, whose parents are lost at sea. The story would change alot if Uncle Jack told the story because it would be about Primrose visiting him and about him going into a fire and being in intensive care.

my story is written by a narrator. If that changed to be one of the racers, it would change the whole story. Now it would be in the racer's opion.
In my book Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian it is from Percy’s prospective. If it was told by a different character the book would be really different.
